Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism

On 10th march 2015 Alexey Konyushkov was appointed the deputy head of the Federal Agency for Tourism.

Alexey oversees the development of domestic and inbound tourism according to the approved state strategy for the tourism development in the Russian Federation. His responsibilities also include the preparation for the 2018 World Cup in the sphere of hotel constructions and the resolution of participant issues related to the implementation of tourist opportunities of the cities.

He is also the chairman of the interdepartmental group developing tourist recreational complex under the Government Commission for the Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

Alexey has state and departmental awards. He was given the rank of the State Councilor of the Russian Federation of 1st class.

Since 1985 Alexey is one of the leading developers of the hotel management system of the World Trade Center. There he worked his way from the programmer to the commercial director of the “Interotel” complex (which includes hotels “Mezhdunarodnaya-1”, “Soyuz -1”, “Eridan”). He also organized one of the first business centers in Moscow in a hotel that meets international standards. Alexey passed internships in the USA, Great Britain, Austria.

Since 1999 – commercial director of the hotel complex “Akademicheskaya”.

From 2000 to 2002 - commercial director of the hotel “Zolotoe Kolzo” of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation.

From 2002 to 2006 – chief executive officer of the hotel complex “President Hotel” (apart from the same named hotel the complex includes hotels “Volynskoe”, “Arbat”,  «Planernoe», «Los»).

From 2005 to 2006 Alexey was ranked in the top 1000 best managers of Russia in the branch “Kommersant”.

From 2006 to 2014 – head of the Main Administration of the Federal Property of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. He supervised recreation complex UDP (boarding houses, holiday homes, hotels) in the Russian Federation and abroad.
